Dear St. Mary’s Religious Education Families,

 

OPTIONS FOR CCD REGISTRATION - PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING

 

Religious Education is a very important part of your child’s spiritual and moral development. Classes begin when a child enters first grade and continues every year until they are juniors in high school. A child is eligible to receive First Holy Communion when they reach second grade and are Confirmed as juniors in high school. Although the formal classes end as juniors, learning about one’s faith continues for a life time.

 

·        Please assist us by registering NOW, which will greatly aid in the recruitment of teachers and ordering books and supplies.

·        Registration is for children grades 1 -11 who attend public school

·        All Confirmation students from parochial school must register (no fee required)

·        Baptismal Certificate (needed if new)

·        Families need to be registered in our parish or permission from your pastor if you attend a different parish

·        Send the enclosed form back to the ORE by June 30th

·        No phone registrations

·        $25.00 per person, or $75.00 maximum per family

·        After June 30th, fee is $30.00 per person, or $90.00 maximum per family

 

*The registration fee will be waived for the children of our Religious Education Teachers.

This policy was instituted to express our appreciation!

 

We know time is precious, and 2 working parents is a necessity and not a luxury, but we are reaching out to everyone to consider volunteering in our program. Home classes, team teaching, or teachers with aides are a few possibilities. This is a great way to become involved with your children and your church. Training is available!    Dear St. Mary Families,

         

          The Family Liturgy has become a strong tradition here at St. Mary’s. We are very fortunate to have the Folk Group sing at this Liturgy and the families participate in many ways. This 10:00 Mass focuses on families and we encourage your participation in all areas.

1.  Greeters:  This family stands in the back of the church handing out song sheets and greeting parishioners before Mass.

                       They also help at the end of Mass to pick up song sheets from the pews.
